Well, congrats Twilighters! Breaking Dawn – Part One won movie of the year! Congratulations to the other nominees, which were all great films. I must admit, I’m surprised Twilight beat the Hunger Games but it just goes to show the power of a dedicated fandom! Congrats cast and crew and congrats fans!
So, there’s stiff competition for MTV’s Movie of the Year, with The Hunger Games as well as the final Harry Potter (Deathly Hallows, Pt. 2), but I’ll more credence to Breaking Dawn, Pt. 1 winning the Best Kiss award. As much as I love The Hunger Games, the kiss between Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson isn’t supposed to be all passion and such, so really Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s competition would be against Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone from Crazy, Stupid, Love. (Sorry, HP fans, I just can’t see the one between Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as being as great as it was in the book. However, fans can be pretty charismatic about this regardless of how it actually was in the movie.)
